We have made a few changes to the way the Forlongs website calculates freight. We have 3 types of products on our site:
* Products we can send via courier
* Products which require a furniture truck to deliver
* Products which we cannot deliver

If you add a product which we can courier then you will see the courier charge in shipping. This is per product added but if we have all of these items in stock and able to send at once, then we will reduce this down to the 1 courier fee when we process. If we need to send items in 2 parcels then you will be charged for the 2 courier tickets to your location.

If you add a product which we send via a furniture truck and you live within our free delivery area, then there is no charge. See the locations here https://www.forlongs.co.nz/service/delivery For customers beyond our free delivery area then the website will add the cost of sending via a Furniture freight company. Again if there are multiple items and we have all in stock to send on a truck at once, the charge will be reduced before we process. Unfortunately we cannot ship via furniture truck to the South Island at this stage. But we can courier many items to the South island.

After some feedback from customers already shopping, we have added in a north Waikato region and a South Waikato region. This is for those areas still in Waikato but beyond our delivery boundary. When choosing your region you may need to go to the nearest region.

The 3rd type products which we cannot deliver include Car batteries, Air conditioning units and Fireplaces. Contact our team to discuss how these can be purchased and collected or installed by a technician.

We also encourage customers shopping online to pick up their purchases from our store room, as an easy way to click and collect without delay. Just remember it takes up to an hour for the orders to drop down from the website, and if purchasing via a credit card we need time to run the security checks on the credit card before we can proceed.

We hope this new system makes it easier for shoppers to choose what they want to purchase.
