Ultima is unique in that we are totally dedicated to the line business. Over recent years Ultima has worked very hard to make its products the best on the market in all sectors. Ultima’s comprehensively equipped laboratory contains all the sophisticated machinery necessary for testing not only linear strength and knot strength but also abrasion resistance, softness, UV resistance, sinking rates, water absorption and the effects of saltwater, elongation deformation and temperature change. Not only can Ultima prove what their lines can actually do, they also use it to test the rest of the competition on the market, just to make sure Ultima products stay one step ahead of the pack. Ultima have invested over £100,000 in this facility which confirms the importance they give to this sort of information.
