The company was formed in Deepdene, Victoria in 1946 by the late Jarvis “Jim” Walker, a skilled fisherman who had a vision to produce professional quality fishing tackle at a fair price for recreational anglers. By the 1950’s and 1960’s the name “Jarvis Walker” had become synonymous with Australian fishing and has since grown to become a true Australian icon.
