No Booking Fees
No Bookings Fees or membership fees are charged on Forlongs account purchases. This means you pay only the cash price (except for interest which may be charged on any purchase unpaid balance after the relative Free of Interest period ends) while adding flexibility and convenience to your shopping experience.
Your Forlongs card
When your account is opened you will receive a distinctive Forlongs card that you can use in any department of the store. When making a purchase, present your card to our friendly staff at the point of sale (up to your credit limit). It’s as easy as that. There is no minimum purchase amount. You simply choose the goods, take them up to the sales counter and they are charged to your account. Easy.
Forlongs account
A Forlongs account operates as a rolling credit facility that gives you flexibility to charge purchases at your convenience so long as the balance on your account does not exceed a predetermined credit limit. An increase to the credit limit can be considered at any time by applying to our Hire Purchase Office. You may pay the balance in full each month or take advantage of longer interest free credit by paying the minimum due.
How to pay
Each month you will receive a statement showing details of your purchases, the payments you have made, the total owing, the minimum amount to pay and the payment due date. You can pay by telephone bank transfer, direct credit, internet banking, mail us a cheque (Please note: We do not accept Telephone requests to pay by Credit card) or call into the accounts payments desk. There we can also accept payments in cash or by EFTPOS. You also have the option of paying a nominated invoice if you wish to address a particular interest free termed purchase.
Credit measures
In signing the application form you give us permission to disclose certain personal information to a credit reporting agency in order to carry out reasonable checks to confirm your credit status before accepting your application. Forlongs Furnishings Limited withholds the right to decline an application. Use of your card means that you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Forlongs Furnishings Limited may change the terms and conditions at any time but will notify all account holders affected.
If your account becomes overdue we will, at our discretion, suspend credit until all overdue amounts are paid, or close the account. All cards issued on the account remain the property of Forlongs Furnishings Limited and should be returned on request. We retain the right to provide information relating to overdue accounts to independent credit agencies if we consider it necessary to recover the amounts due to us. Any charges incurred through engaging a debt collection agency may be passed on to the account holder.
