On Sunday 31 July 2011 the new hot air balloon ZK-FFF took its inaugural flight from Innes Common and into the Waikato Skies. Captained by Mark Brown, the Kiwi Balloon Company's new balloon features a bright red and white envelope adorning the 'Forlongs' name. The Waikato is a fantastic place to fly balloons in New Zealand and Hamilton hosts the world reknowned "Balloons over Waikato" festival each year. Seeing balloons here is a very common sight, as is the Forlongs brand since it has been a part of the Waikato landsacape since 1946. With this in mind it just seemed a natural fit for Forlongs to be a part of the creation of ZK-FFF.
